SIG Sauer - where we do what we want

Holy sweet baby Jesus, SIG. Who the hell are you hiring to make these decisions?

This is a factory P320 grip module that is supposed to be coyote. I guess when you can't sell carry size black safety modules you paint them. What a shitty company....

This is far from my first time being "sigged", but man, to jack up something so simple is beyond me.

Not very bright but does lack ambition
That is pretty low, and I’ve never seen that before. Are you absolutely sure someone didn’t substitute and return?

I cannot be absolutely sure and have reached out to the retailer as well as SIG.

Based on my previous 'siggings' I expect little to no resolution with an explanation of, paraphrasing here, 'this is what we are currently shipping'. To be honest, if I had not had so many issue like this with SIG over the past 15 years I would have assumed the issue to be on the retailers end.

I failed my own advice for buying SIG - only buy what you can see with your own eyes that lays in your hands, you never know what you may get otherwise.

I highly doubt that came from Sig like that, most likely the retailer sent you a return from someone else.

That is the conclusion that Osage County Guns came to after contacting their SIG rep. OCG has had no returns of the module previously so they knew it wasn't from their end. SIG stated that they may have this module sent back as a return that was then put back into the supply chain and subsequently sent out to OCG. So it looks like SIG return QC is taking the blame for this one.

Either way, the issue was resolved quickly and professionally by OCG.

This is a widespread issue for manufacturers and retailers. I once managed an auto parts chain store for the longest year of my life and customers were constantly trying to rip us off on returns. I ended up making my staff open all return packages and inspect the items being returned with the returning customer standing in front of them before issuing credit. It was mindblowing to see so many of the parts that were being returned as "new, unused" turn out to be the original part the customer removed from their vehicle.

I caught a guy once who just stood there and yelled "eff... you" and storm out the door, swearing to never return.

Why would we want him to?

I once bought a 5qt jug of Mobil 1, got it home, and it was full of used oil. I unscrew the cap and inspect the seal every time now.

I get at least one "customer" a week who comes in trying to trade in their chinesium/ airsoft optics and parts for real stuff values. It's bad enough that I will take all your shit off it's mounts and inspect like I'm a damn rolex repair guy before I'll trade in poptics, lights or lasers.

The really sad part is when I also figure out that that they didn't know they got took by the previous place they bought from when I tell them their 1200 dollar EO Tech set is actually worth maybe 100 bucks...

Considering their handguns, long guns, optics, suppressors and ammo, Sig is the most innovative firearms manufacturer today.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
