Sooo, funny story. I had been reading through this thread and figured I'd give one a try from the responses of the past few pages. Saw the ideas of running the tail on the inside and really liking that idea, I figured I'd give that a try when it arrives. I've been using the Masterminds specialist belt for about 2 years and while I loved it, the velcro seemed to be aging with the day on and day off use as well I started really liking the idea of "set it and forget it" having a buckle like the Wilderness belts offered so I ordered an easy fit, 5 stitch in grey and it arrived today.
I put it on after checking it out something just seemed off. I like running the tail on the inside like others have discussed and then it hit me and I came back to this thread and compared it on the website just to be sure. I could be wrong, but I believe the velcro on this particular one was sewn on the inside of the belt. I say "inside" because both hook and loop are on the same side as the wilderness and size tags. After looking at models on the website and from other pics in this thread, it leads me to the same conclusion. It showed up threaded so that it would go to the inside and that was how I tried it on not really thinking anything of it. I don't know how their manufacturing process goes, but I'm also wondering if the company/size tag was just sewn on the wrong side? In any case it's a bonus for me and so far I couldn't be happier with it lol, but maybe I’m just mistaken and I ordered wrong?
So far, I absolutely love the firm but flexibility it offers and I find it more comfortable than the mastermind. Being a bit smaller in the waist belts can get too rigid too quick as its been noted in this thread.
