Glock has recently applied for some more patents for a carbine. Hopefully this is evidence Glock will be releasing a carbine soon!

Never going to happen
Hopefully it has a breech face cut..
It's an interesting patent, but it's nothing too groundbreaking. At best it tells us that a work for some kind of a follow-up for GR-115F may be ongoing. But it appears that they aren't interested in selling on the civilian market, at the very minimum unless they win a military contract. The new patent isn't changing anything in that regard.
Note that GR-115F already had a proprietary handguard mount. So a quick-release handguard is only a development upon that:

I wish they’d make a carbine sized just for 9mm and maybe 45 ACP.
Anything else in 5.56 is just gonna get lost in the mix.
Glock, like most Euro gun companies sees institutions (MIL/GOV/LE) as their primary customers, not us. That’s the reality.,
Institutional customers are not looking for pistol caliber carbine/SMG.
The only long gun tender Glock has put in for was the UK’s recent 5.56 carbine RFPs.
If Glock gets a large institutional contract for 556 carbines they may or may not release a variant to the civilian market. No big contract no carbine.
