    Two examples of officers inducing a stoppage in their pistol with a bad grip on two different sides of the country.

    LAPD is the typical left-handed shooter high grip pushing up on the slide stop.

    NYPD is the typical non-shooter "Oh snap!" support hand thumb behind the slide.

    Both of these are super common.

    Now that manufacturers have decided we need ambi controls on everything you are going to see a lot more slides lock back after one round fired.

    The LAPD one appears to be thumb behind the slide as well but I agree with you that “ambi all the things” is a problem too.
