Im a bit surprised the Lantac straight pull bolt AR and other similar makes arent getting more traction when the "not an AR" discussions come up. It seems like a very simple conversion and uses nearly all standard AR parts besides the slick side upper and bolt carrier, and I believe a standard one could be converted. The gas port and tube may need to be blocked/removed in some locales, not sure, but neither would be hard to do.

I vote this rifle as “most likely to be used by a character in the Star Wars franchise”.

I'm far more inclined to put money towards this Lantac than the side-mag mount thing.

    As would I.

The part that seems most practical is I believe existing ARs can be converted to straight pull use for states that dont allow them, then it seems a standard upper can be put back on and its in original configuration again.

    Both are those are AWESOME.

I want BOTH of them. To go along with my not-a-FG42 Bolt Action.
