    Mo-mo-zam-bique-bique

I'm working on an article for my website and would love to get some data from the PF shoot-hive.

The drill is simple and can use a Q-PT target, the downloadable 8.5x14 F.A.S.T. target, or an IDPA target's -0 zone with a 3x5 card stapled to the head.

Draw and fire three to the 8" circle followed by two to the 3x5 card. Distance is seven yards.

If you get a chance, shoot the drill and determine two results:

    1. Your best single run (all hits).
    2. A PAR time that allows you to guarantee 100% hits for five runs in a row.

    Thanks in advance!

    Todd,
Any particular distance for comparison sake?

Seven yards. Thanks for the reminder! I'll change the original post.

3.32 fastest, 4.30 guaranteed. P30 LEM/Kolbeson AIWB concealed/PMC ammo. I used 5.5 inch B16/2 bull's eye target instead of 8 inch since it is what I have. The first shot times weren't affected much, but the follow ups on 2nd and 3d shot would've been a bit faster had I used the right setup.

    Concealment or no?

Concealment preferred but as long as someone shoots it the same way for each run, it doesn't really matter that much to me.

Had to use the par setting since I was getting a wicked echo

    <2.3sec. clean
    <3sec. 5 in a row clean

Need to re-shoot and hopefully avoid the echo after adjusting sensitivity.

That is going to be on the smokin end of the scale. Nice shooting. I had a new shooter join me this AM and I was pretty consumed with working the basics with him but got in just two runs before he arrived. A break-in 4.10 that missed a head and then a 3.35 clean. Even just two runs was plenty to know 2.3 PR and 3.0 5 in a row clean is pretty hot stuff. Nice!

I ran this on an an IPSC target. (Yes, I had to be different) I used the upper A-zone (~6x7 inches) for the body and the "credit card" for the head.

1911 w/230 grain HST from a Blade-tech OWB holster under an untucked button-down shirt.

    Best Run: 3.07 (1.56, .24, .23, .48, .56).
    PAR: 3.5
    C Class shooter.
