ISO Information- Branded Omega Handgun made in Spain

    Hi all,

I’m looking for information about this handgun left to me by my late father. It is a small caliber (shoots .22 cal, 6 shot clip). Markings on the weapon include:
    Made in Spain
    “OMEGA”
An X shield with P.V. to the Bottom Right.
A marking of an animal of some kind on the left side, and on the barrel. There is a TU on the barrel as well.

Any information from those with more knowledge than I (doesn’t take much!) would be most appreciated.

    Greetings and welcome,
You may want to post the photos instead of a link.
Just click the box above (it's the one in the middle set of icons, 6 from the right side with a tree in it).

@MBurner that’s a cool little gun. Looks like it has a grip safety too.

Looks like one of the many unlicensed copies of Browning/FN designs the Spanish were pumping out from the early 1900s onwards...they literally had an entire manufacturing sector dedicated to it. And, are you sure it's 22lr, and not 25ACP?

Agree, the Zhuk book has pages and pages of them. The Omega brand shown there does not match this gun in detail, though. It has a grip safety like the FN, which few of the Spanish knockoffs bothered with.
