Small 8 (16" or so) I took this past Saturday.
Practicing before the hunt.
The mid morning wind picked up on the first day of deer season, and we were on a high exposed ridge. Partially as a lesson, to teach the daughter shelter building, partially to kill time, we erected a wind break.
Deer came out and I lasered a doe, 197 yards. Told my 12 year old girl to center the crosshairs right behind the shoulder. She was using a custom Tikka T3 in 6mm Remington. At the shot the deer collapsed with legs in air and slid a bit down the mountain side. Great first shot on her first deer hunt.
I have no idea what I just watched...I'm not much of a fisherman. Looks like Sean isn't either:-)
