    FRENCH S&W MODEL 12

    I was at Antique Arms Show in Las Vegas and spotted this S&W model 12. In 1965 S&W developed the gun with a safety on the right side of the frame.

    Now imagine a current-manufacture 3" pencil barreled, round-butt model 12 sans bunghole.

    That was my first though upon seeing that.

    My second thought was how practical would it be to modify the lock to a functional thumb safety? I don’t have one to check, and I imagine it would be easier on the larger frame guns...
