Want to try to make the beginning of your break coincide with my next trip to DC? Would work out about right for me. If we ask LL nicely, he might crawl out of hiding.

    Otherwise, I'd love it.

Would love to get Bill's feedback on this gun. (Unsolicited comment from the peanut gallery.)

And when I discussed it with a knowledgeable guy at Wilson, he said he thought it would probably be fine. I don't discount that it may have been a factor, though, certainly. Odd that it was so consistent in two mags while the other four worked without that problem even once in about 200 slide locks.

Ramming an extracted round back into the magazine lips is normally from marginal extractor fit.
Anything is possible and perhaps it's the first sign of an impending problem, but the extractor tests positive for good tension and has performed very well for the past 50k rounds.

Not an option for me, I'm afraid.

Send me a copy of your FFL and I'll put the pistol on its way in a couple weeks.

The slide wouldn't move and the magazine was literally jammed in place. I finally had to put the gun on the ground butt-up, hold it in place, and rip the magazine out. I cannot say whether that was a fluke or not because it only happened once in about 400 rounds across all six mags.
Photo of the offense, sorry for the cell phone blur:

    Overheard in the Office...

RX: "He's got lichen growing on the inside of that slide!"

Me: "Todd likes cleaning guns even less than I do..."

You tell her I said "cleanin' is women-folk work!"

The yellow particulate is from the leadfree ammunition. It all just disappeared on its own when I was using Militec, but the Rand CLP I'm trying seems to collect it. Given how incredibly hard the individual particles are, it's probably not particularly good for the gun.

She says if you send her the gun, when you get it back in a few years it will be shiny clean.

I think that's an ammonia complex.

    What, the fear of cleaning?

Ba-dum! Thank you, try the veal.
