Ruger has the Marlin line back up and running, to some its Marlin to others it's been called Ruglin, for me, it's a Ruger. The 1894s in .357 and .44 mag are due to be released sometime late summer or early fall. I have been overwhelmingly impressed with the quality and improvements of the 1895s that I have seen. I have a Remington made Marlin in .44 that I may trade for the Ruger after I get a .357.

Another gun goes onto the "me want" list.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

I love my m92 but I'd like a marlin to mount a 1-3 weaver on it for antler ID for buck only hunting.

Ya know, to the anti-gun, anti-second amendment, anti-self defense crowd that could be considered pornography. Of course like all their other beliefs they would be wrong. Excellent photography by the way!

In the eye of the beholder, and all that. Thanks though. That one was done with my iPhone in five minutes, one of these days I'll pull out the studio lights and tripod and a real camera and do this right, once upon a time I did this for real and have had images widely published and exhibited. And the Python really is very photogenic.

But gotta go now, have been invited to photograph a burlesque show tonight. That would probably offend a whole different set of people.

    front sight

I will be trying my handy work at on a front sight in a few days. Over on the Colt forum, I found where someone filed a Simth and Wesson Dx style front sight to fit the new Colt. I am gonna try the same with a FO from Dawson's. Its $40 ventured and if it works, I may end up trying a tritium from XS.

I did call Dawsons and asked if they thought they would ever make a replacement for the Colts and Ray said it depends on how many hit the street.
