Nimes Arena. Lots of blood spilled here in the bad old days.
Found a bark scorpion in my shoe on this day. Glad to be in the habit of “clapping” shoes together and checking for critters.

Seriously though, if you have the chance, Nimes was a nice place to visit if you want to see ancient Gaul aka Roman structures and history (while you bum around the South of France). I have a ton of pics of the Arena, the gardens, and something called the Maison Carree (which is a small temple).
