Just to note, that is a G-17/22 not a 19. I just pulled up an email from Next Level Training last December saying that they hoped for a G-19 model this spring.

Not that it's exactly the same as a G19, but you could easily chop the grip on a G17 SIRT. Nothing functional down there.

Apologies for a brief threadjack - I just got off the phone with NLT about a warranty issue I had with mine. Long story short, the lady I was emailing back and forth with is out indefinitely with some health issues, so if you've had any unanswered emails or issues you may want to give them a call. The guy I talked to was very helpful and got me fixed up immediately.

I inquired a couple of weeks ago and was told the M&P SIRT is in prototyping, they are planning to be production ready in 3-4 months and they are not planning a thumb safety model but have added it to the wish list (because I wish for it).

That 3-4 month time frame might make Christmas feel like I was 6 again. Happy dance.
