It sticks out as far as the "federal" mag catch, but the Vickers (seen atop the federal, above) is rounded along the front edge. Unfortunately, given how I depress the mag catch -- with the trigger finger of my strong hand -- the Vickers part actually increases the reach and makes dropping the mag more difficult. I think it will be very popular for folks who run their mag catch on the "correct" side of the gun, however. It's definitely an improvement over the stock part IMO.
