Despite the complete failure of both local and federal law enforcement to find any evidence whatsoever of George Zimmerman’s supposed racism ending in the death of black teenager Trayvon Martin in February 2012 in Florida, the Obama administration continues to threaten prosecution against Zimmerman. On Monday, Attorney General Eric Holder said that despite Zimmerman’s acquittal in his second-degree murder trial, the Department of Justice was still considering whether to bring civil rights charges against Zimmerman. “I'm not sure exactly how much longer that will take, but we will get to a point where we are able to make a determination,” he said.

Keeping the constituents happy by threatening it or "considering" it is a far shot from being able to pull it off. There is no actual evidence that race played any role in Zimmerman's actions. USDOJ would simply be setting itself up for failure trying to prosecute and that would be a greater embarrassment than using the ole "he was acquitted and we have to respect that" line they've got saved up instead. Right now they can blame the FL prosecutors and the FL jury. If they take it federal, they'll be the ones getting blamed.
Who here thinks BHO and Holder want to be blamed for Zimmerman's innocence?
They've gotta pretty good track record of stepping in the stoopid, so I'm not sure if I'm willing to the bet either way.

I personally know people who have had a close scrape with the law, gotten away with it, and then proceeded to live their lives under the belief that they are now lawproof. They tend to be narcissistic.
Z-man's behavior is eerily similar to that of one of those folks.
