    Bad guys attack wife and CCW dude shoots bad guy in the nose.
    According to Hartford Police Chief Anne Ward, the man was shot after he and group of men approached a couple as they were returning home. The group of men was allegedly armed.

    Police say the husband then fired one shot at a group of men, hitting one in the nose. His injuries are non-life threatening.

    After speaking with District Attorney Kirke Adams, Chief Ward says the incident is being ruled a justified, self defense shooting. No charges have been filed at this time.

    Career Felon Gunned Down By Armed Customer In Indy Pawn Shop Robbery

    It happened around 2:15 p.m. at Cash America Pawn at 2428 E. 38th St.

    Police say a person came into the business and showed a weapon. Multiple shots were fired. It is unclear if the suspect fired shots or just brandished his weapon.

    When officers arrived, they found the suspect shot multiple times at the entrance of the business. He was pronounced dead by EMS crews on the scene.

    Armed person stops potential mass shooting at nightclub.
    The man had been escorted out of the club by security for creating a disturbance, but returned a short time later and was seen near the front of the club, Sambrano said.

    The suspect took out a handgun and fired multiple times at the entrance, injuring five people.

    A 21-year-old man was hit in the torso/chest area and received serious injuries but is in stable condition, Sambrano said.

    The shooter also hit a 24-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, a 21-year-old woman and 19-year-old woman. All received what are described as "non-life-threatening injuries" and are considered stable, Sambrano said.

    The suspect was shot in the leg by an unknown individual and investigators believe this person was acting in self-defense, Sambrano said...

    Couple tied up in home invasion. Husband escapes and shoots bad guy.
    According to the victims, three unknown men knocked on their door Tuesday night and forced their way inside the home. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun, and another was armed with a knife, Lakewood police said.

    The suspects pistol-whipped the husband and cut the wife on the hand before tying them up. The suspects then searched the house for items to steal.

    At some point during the robbery, the suspects stepped outside and the husband was able to free himself and untie his wife, police said. They shut the door and locked the suspects out before running into a back bedroom.

    However, the suspects forced themselves back into the house, police said, and ran to the bedroom. The husband, who had since armed himself with a Police believe the deceased was one of the suspects in the Lakewood home invasion.handgun he kept in his room, fired two shots as the suspects barged through the door...

    Tai Chan is charged with first-degree murder. Police said Chan shot and killed Deputy Jeremy Martin last month at a Las Cruces hotel. The two were staying in the area after they dropped off a prisoner in Arizona.

    According to police, the two had been drinking earlier in the night and a fight escalated into the shooting. Police have not said what the two were fighting about.

    Chan was scheduled to be in court Monday, but he waived his court appearance. His attorney entered a plea of not guilty of his behalf.

    Chan's attorney would not speak about his client's state of mind or well being...
