Detailed account of an attempted robbery and a shootout between the store owner and two perps, both of whom were injured and later captured. This citizen is one cool customer, held his fire til he had a clear shot, even while being shot at.

"...a brief and violent sequence of events that begins when a man, who police have identified as Terry, walks boldly through the store’s open front door, holding a revolver in his outstretched right arm. "

Any word on the Officer's condition? Hoping for the best.

Good to hear. We've had far too many of these types of things.

    SAPD: Homeowner shoots burglary suspect

Man runs after being shot, shows up at hospital
According to police, the homeowner heard someone breaking into his Jeep, and that's when he got a gun and held the man for officers.

Moments later, the man tried to run away, and that's when the homeowner shot him in the leg, police said. Despite the wound, the man managed to run from the scene. Later that morning, a man with a gunshot wound showed up at Methodist Hospital downtown

Homeowners shooting car burglars outside the home is a fairly common occurance here in San Antonio. I seems to happen very few months.

CCW citizen saves woman from sexual assault. Very lucky girl who's probably really happy people didn't decide to be "good witnesses."

The mother of a woman who told police she was attacked inside an eastside home said she is thankful for neighbors who rushed to her daughter's aid, including a man who held the alleged attacker at gunpoint then chased him down and helped hold him until police arrived...
