The resident told a dispatcher in his call to 911 that a man broke into his apartment and held a handgun to his face. The tenant was then able to get his own gun and shoot the intruder.
Im betting the real story is more complicated.
    Just a hunch.

    Another armed citizen fights back:

His brother's wife was in the restroom at the time, but when she exited the restroom she saw the group of suspected robbers. Police said that's when she pulled out her gun and shot at them.

"She said she came out of the restroom and saw my brother on the floor. That's when she started doing what she gotta do. She got a license and she'll do anything to protect her kids and my brother," he said.

Journalist nearly gets killed, decides he's still ok with relying on luck to see him through in the future. Wonderful example of the opposite of mindset.

Also a study of how not to handle a gunshot wound, although thankfully for him it didn't matter in the end and they were able to patch him up.

His point at the end about Bayesian inference (he doesn't call it that, but that's what it is) is true enough, though.

Sorry if this was already here. My friends think I'm crazy for carrying when I run. I don't think carrying would of helped this guy but it just goes to show bad things can happen anytime.

Where was this latest school shooting? I heard it on the radio, but only caught part of it.
