If you do not reload maybe someone can work up some loads for you, my friend/mentor transitioned to 200gn bullets going a bit slower.

A 200gr. load can be really tame and still run the gun perfectly with maybe a switch to a 15lb or 16lb recoil spring. I’m running full power loads for now but I could see eventually switching to those and keeping the practice gun sprung for them.

My .45s now sit in the safe, begging to come out and play. 😩

Working on learning my new checkering fixture. Specifically the Keller fixture sold by Cylinder and Slide. Pricey and tricky to use but can give good results.

This is 90 degree checkering as opposed to the normal 60 degree checkering. This is also 20LPI but it feels a smidge less aggressive than 25LPI (@ 60 degrees). I also would simply agree if you said it feels like 25LPI@60 degrees.

So far I really like the 90 degree look. Also you don't have to go as deep to get pyramids (good for thin front straps) and the Z/knee/quill moves are .050" for the horizontals which is idiot proof (which is good for me because I have a bit of moron in my DNA).
