Bill, glad you are back. I learn interesting things from your posts.
You might find that the Gen 4 guns produce wholly adequate accuracy out of the box, so it's worth testing them first. That said, if you do want to improve on box stock I'd definitely order a Bar-Sto barrel and fit it yourself. Most likely to give you the return you're looking for.
Some tests of a variety of aftermarket barrels for data that you might appreciate:
Primary and Secondary - Gen 4 Glock 17
Victory Gun Blog - Gen 3 Glock 17
I had an immediate and noticeable upgrade in accuracy by adding a $110 S3F blemished barrel in my Gen4 G17. I'm sure that the BarSto is more accurate but it is worth another $100-$150 over a blemished S3F drop-in?

No it is not.
Quick pic, as promised. Still sorting out the details, but the 22 seems to be GTG also. I tend to prefer 4 o'clock position. Sights still up in the air. Heinies, and some others ordered up.
Right now, I'm totall digging on the Gen4s. Especially the G22.

I don't see any blued steel and wood in these pictures. Bill's account has been hacked.
