The orange pouches became available and by resistance Kolter!
I missed out on the first run of 0.5 but I can always pick one of those up later I hope.

I've been looking for a more normie looking replacement for my trusty Camelbak Linchpin for some time now and I'm seriously considering the NoSurrenderGear Paradigm.

I haven't been able to find any reviews on it aside from a few comments on reddit where it was recommended, but the people that have it are all using it for everything from skiing to commuting and none of them have come up with any complaints or issues when I've asked.
It's design is well thought out to be adaptable to just about anything you would use a pack this size for. I like that it has a removable hip belt and the shoulder straps are designed in such a way that they'd have better airflow than the Mystery Ranch bags I've been using for over a decade.
Also, not that I'm advocating off-body carry, but the laptop sleeve is flannel lined and can be accessed externally.
Assuming this is the bag I end up with, I'll probably be removing the little gas mask dude that is their company logo.
I like that Orange! Since my wife and I are taking 2-4 day trips to our up and coming new home state, I'm debating on the CTB 26L and 35L which are supposed to be carry on friendly.

CST:
The 26 will fit in any commercial overhead and under seat. The 36 will fit in the overhead and under seat so long as not stuffed to the gills.
Historically, I have been a huge believer in getting the bigger bag because 10L more is 10L more so long as it does not size you out of your common use case ie. Overhead, Underseat or Locker, as applicable.
This Osprey bag is on sale at 70USD ( rust/green/bright blue) marked down from 150+. It admittedly is not nearly as well organized such that it is not the EDC bag of choice.
For a travel bag, particularly if you use packing cubes/stuff sacks/organizers, it represents great value/function etc with a best in class warranty.

I love my Linchpin. However, I've been out of the army for over a decade and out of LE for almost 2 years and I'd like to just look normal. The Linchpin doesn't have any molle, but even in the grey looking foliage color it's obviously a "tactical" pack. The giant embroidered skull logo doesn't help.
If they'd bring it back in more normal looking colors without the embroidery and elastic Nalgene compatible pockets on the sides in place of the mag pouches, I'd be all over it.
