You should! Dressing well and understanding the difference between a balmoral and a blucher is a dying man art.

My dad used to do a pool class and dressed well. He had younger women hanging around all the time, one moved in for a few years.

    This makes my head hurt.

    Boots. Need nice boots again.

Edit: Had to google. A balmoral is a castle, and a blucher is a shoe?

    re-edit: I think I failed that one.

Superstar fanboi. This is pair 20 or so, beat to hell and back. I've got 2 new pair that I'm trying to work in and another NIB that hasn't seen daylight yet.

Boot fanboi as well but I need to sweep the floor before snapping any pics.

    Think for yourself. Question authority.

Balmoral and Oxford are generally interchangeable and refer to closed lacing. This in contrast to Derby or Blucher which has open lacing. Balmorals are generally considered more formal than bluchers.

Old daily wear above, minimalist boots for national guard and security work. Belleville tactical research.
New daily wear below, Nine-to-five LEMS.
There are another dozen assorted vivobarefoot and Merrill running and casual shoes around here too.
Pretty much the only shoes I wear that aren't zero drop are my dress shoes for Army.

I believe theres some examples of both. Will have to look again when I can.

I have some nice dress boots, but not in the same class as my old Rios of Mercedes. I'm not sure I'll ever completely pass as civilized.

When I am doing pretty much anything that requires something beyond flip-flops, I wear hikers.

Asolos are my preferred boot by a wide margin. Back when Vasque boots were made in Italy, I wore through a bunch of those.

For many years though, cowboy boots were mostly what I wore.

I figure nobody wanted to see a dirty pair of Asolos.

Therefore, I took a shot of my Olathes and Milt Sparks gun rig that I got married in. I am fortunate to say that it all still fits today.

Slightly more gayer would be a "Tactical Pants" thread.
