What is the yellow tape in the mag well of these glocks?

    Hi All,

In reading an old thread on JMCK IAWB holsters, I saw this pic.

Does anyone know the purpose of this yellow tape (I think it's tape) in the magwells is? Also who makes that grip plug for these glocks?

    Thanks in advance.

They're likely visual reference points when speed reloading. Many users here have painted their magwells for this reason.

It's supposed to aide in making sure you break target focus long enough to look your magazine in the well.

Can't help on the grip plug

Grip plug looks like the Seattle Slug (Taylor Seattle Slug).

Yeah, it's paint not tape. Tape in that location would be a bad idea as it could come loose and get caught in the mag insertion and cause a malfunction.

The painting is against the rule sin several gun-game divisions, just FYI.

Really? The paint would be against the rules? Personally, I'd probably be more concerned with the obtrusive butt plugs and the stippling on one of the guns...

    Best, Jon

Stippling allowed on grip areas and grip plugs that are not weighted or protrude are permitted in the "stock" divisions.

Refinishing of the frame/slide that's deemed to grant a competitive advantage is prohibited in Production.
One of the biggest and most common mistakes gun owners make is assuming that they are done learning how to shoot.

Down the road from Quantrill's big raid.
Could be a Sherer plug, my go-to favorite such widget, but sadly they went out of business.
