Thread: RDS on a SemiAuto

I don't believe the B&T aimpoint is really an rmr fighter. It makes the most sense in an SMG. Bit too bulky and too small on the FoV to be perfect on a carry gun.

VERY hopeful about this optic, been keeping an eye on it. Usually I'm not an early adopter but Vortex service is A #1 so I may bite.

    Dear Aimpoint,

Thank you for not introducing a bomb proof, carry pistol oriented, RDS at SHOT this year. You've given my inner caveman at least another year of life.

    Regards,

Did the SIG Romeo 1 mounting footprint just become the industry standard?

Since the Army just contracted for SIG M17s (and the pics appear to show the XM17 with the same Romeo 1 mounting plate on the 320 X-Carry) , that's a huge number of factory ready handguns waiting for a future optic. SIG Elecro Optics may have stolen a march on the rest of the industry.

Yeah, that's huge. With the handgun RDS in infancy, this looks like amazingly fortunate timing.

Interesting looking thumb safety. Is that in "safe" or "fire" position?

I need to handle one. That looks like I would be right on that slide stop when running the safety.

I have not followed the 320 much but was there some different issues that people were experiencing? Nothing wide spread but also not the reputation for reliability as with the beretta 92s?

looking at it, I agree. The safety might make access to the slide stop a little goofy. Still, I think I see me trying one of these with the safety out. Might also be my first Red Dot gun. I was going to send of an existing glock or buy an MOS. But the price point on this looks pretty good. I think I'll let you all beat on them for a bit.

I haven't seen this mentioned here before.
