I didn't have the heart to tell him the ammo he had would not do what he thought it would.

That may be worse than a Taurus Judge but I am not certain.
Well, he's all set if he runs into a posse of ornery woodchucks in the center of town.

The biggest problem I can see with the 5.7 is that, as best I can tell, there have been one or two well-documented incidents of a bad guy getting decisively piled up with the round. Never mind that, given the shot placement, the same results would have occurred if the officer had been shooting a Mk.II loaded with CCI Stingers, the anecdotes get passed around as proof of the death-ray-like nature of the round.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

And thus we have the .22 TCM! It's like the 5.7x28, but cheaper, and has all the wonderful quality of a RIA 1911!

Because remote wounding effects and hydrostatic hyper-ninja-velocity bloodshock is a thing that some people still believe...

Don't forget the Fort Hood shooter.

He used one so it must be good for self defense. Apparently.

One of the biggest and most common mistakes gun owners make is assuming that they are done learning how to shoot.

While marginal outside of its orginally designed military role, the 5.7 x28mm FN is very deadly on the patience level of informed internet gunnies.
