My first post ... I'm glad to have found this Forum.
I recently bought a Gen 4 17. I would like to replace the connector. I want to install a 3.5.
Is the connector in a Gen 3 the same as the connector in a Gen 4?
Thanks!!!

Yes, they are interchangeable between all models.
The dot connector in the gen 4 guns was to bring the trigger pull weight down to be more like that of the gen 3 and earlier guns with the standard (unmarked) connector.
One can use any of the connectors in any of the generations of Glocks, although why one would use the heaviest + connector at all is beyond me.

I use the factory - connector in all 4 of my Gen4 G17's.
I would recommend a glock tool or punch and pushing out the old connector from the rear of the trigger housing rather than prying it out.
Good advice. It's a cheap thing to buy.
To the OP, just remember not to get caught up in the attempt to improve your gun before first improving your skill. And DO NOT BUY the reduced power striker spring unless you handload and only use federal primers. It's absolutely not worth the hassle. I'd also recommend buying a case or two of 9mm. Buying in bulk is cheaper in the long run and ammo doesn't spoil.
