I believe thats the "new" 2013 frame cut. Theres a bit of discussion about it at 1911 forum - Wilson sub group.

Some of us still like the 47D for non magwell guns. 500 tube is longer, more space for 8 rounds and stouter spring, but at the price of mag hanging out of grip, a bit. There is a very small ground swell of interest in the new square wire HD spring of the ETM adopted to the 47D for a more compact, better working 8 round version...
Hmm... didn't realize Wilson had done that. Cost savings??? The undercut trigger guard is one of their selling points IMHO. Why would they go away from that feature?

I gladly give up the cosmetic appeal of the shorter 47D for the robustness of the ETM +P square spring version. Ultimate 1911 mag IMHO. I drop the Tripp 7 rd conversion kit into my 47D's, which is a vast improvement in spring life and consistency.
In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

Maybe they found the 1911 market doesn't like undercut? I don't care for it.

I don't care for the undercut either. I prefer the stock Colt shape

If that is a normal (non-undercut frame, like a Springfield) curve there, I'm finally interested in Wilsons.

Yes. It was that much of a killer for me.

    No doubt a fine setup.

On the other hand, Wilson makes the standard 47, a full size 7 rounder (which of course, could be the mag in the gun pictured). They also offer the 47 HD/+P mag http://shopwilsoncombat.com/1911-Mag...info/47C%2DHV/
