Not to me. I actually shot some this morning, alongside 124 +P HST, 147 HST, 147 Ranger T, and 147 Gold Dot, all on various runs of Tom's Casino Drill.

The two +P rounds made more noise, but in the "heat" of working through the drill, I didn't notice squat difference in recoil. And I'm coming off years of .45 shooting, so… its just a .380 Long Rifle. The deal here is that two of my four G19s (the ones with fixed irons, no RDS) group noticeably better with the 127 +P+, otherwise I wouldn't care.

As for the gelatin "numbers"… pretty much a wash there, IMO.

Anyway, thanks for all the assistance, gents.

I found 1 box of the 127+P+ in the Gold Box among all my HST and Gold Dot ammunition. Let me know if you need any of the G17 magazines and this single 50 round box of RA9TA.

I buy all my SD pistol ammo from Mike /Hotpig

I have a few boxes of the older version 127+P+ SXT that has a 2005 head stamp . What year did the T come out ? 2008?

Shooting it I cant tell much difference between gold dot and HST +P

BTW I wish Winchester would put a headstamp date on a the other loads like ranger 124gr T & B

I have found that the 127 +P+ Rangers are not particularly accurate across a range of different 9mm guns. The 115 +P+ ones shoot better for me, but are probably even more unobtainium than the 127s. Federal HST seems to be the most accurate factory premium JHP stuff.
The first indication a bad guy should have that I'm dangerous is when his
disembodied soul is looking down at his own corpse wondering what happened.

Odd. One of the best pistol shots I know prefers the 127gr in his Berettas due to his observation that it is match grade accurate.

Precision Delta is another option. They have two price schedules, LE price with credentials and everyone else. I bought some +p+ from them on credentials and it was 22.00 a box.

We tested some 6 or 7 years ago, and out of 4-5 lots the velocity was all over the map. One lot was 1,200 fps on the low end and pushing 1,350 on the other. IIRC most of it was in the 1,300 range. So +p to .357 sig range. We nixed it due to inconsistent velocity.

I've found the 127 gr (normal tan box) to be extremely accurate in both a G19 and a P 226; but a batch of black-box 127 gr had a lot of problems. Maybe it depends one what batch you get?

Overall, I think the good batches of 127 gr as well as the 124 +P GD and HST and 115 BPLE all are remarkably accurate out of most pistols.

Winchester had some serious QC issues when they announced the move to Miss, and some afterwards. They appear to have gotten past that recently.

My experience with the 127gr Ranger has also been that of extremely good accuracy. I really can not say I have noticed any real difference in recoil and flash between the 127gr +p+ and the 124gr +p.
