Thread: Speer Gold Dot G2: Too Soon To Buy In?

  1. #71
Man, I just got me some G2, and now I am thinking of leaving that platform.

Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

Until we have rounds that aim themselves, that seems to me precisely what you want in a bullet.

How is a bullet a platform? Phrasing.
We may lose and we may win, but we will never be here again.......

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

Good example of why the test media matters.

Another being that sometimes real shootings have HEAVY clothing.....
One of my friend's at work shot a robbery suspect after a chase from the scene, the bad guy was wearing Carhart coveralls, a denim jacket, flannel shirt, long john top, and a T-shirt. It was almost zero and in a snowstorm when this incident happened. Worst case bullet clogging scenario, combined with low temps to reduce velocity, yet both of the 124gr +P Gold Dots expanded perfectly while giving more than sufficient penetration.
Ditto on the above.....even in SoCal. Our first HST shooting was glass and then a bunch of layers....DRT and the recovered round looked like a federal ad. For now I am good with my HST's in the heavy weights per caliber.
Just a Hairy Special Snowflake supply clerk with no field experience, shooting an Asymetric carbine as a Try Hard. Snarky and easily butt hurt. Favorite animal is the Cape Buffalo....likely indicative of a personality disorder.

Have the rounds that were put out and issued been recalled? I just noticed that Doc pulled it from his list as well.
