I carry 9mm so here is my top 5 list
1- hst 147
2- GD 147
3- hst 147+p
4- GD 124+p
5- hst 124+p

Currently it's P9HST3
Right now I'm carrying standard pressure Speer Gold Dot 124 grain JHP (53618), but have carried the +P variant as well as P9HST3. Like JV said, I'd select a load on Doc's list, ensure it functions in your carry gun and not lose a moment's sleep over the selection.
Whatever is on the above list that I can buy in case quantity when I need it.
Currently it's GD 124+P

1) Remington Golden Saber Bonded 124+p
2) Federal HST 124
3) Winchester Ranger Bonded 147
4) Winchester Ranger Tseries 124+p
5) Hornady Critical Duty 135 gr (either +p without suppressor, or standard pressure with suppressor)
.45 (only 2 since my .45 cal 1911's both really like them... And I've got lots of them):
1) Federal HST 230gr
2) Speer Gold Dot 230gr

gold dot 124 +p. Main reason is I think even if my carry gun (mp 9c) is less then awesome it will benefit from the extra oomph of the round cycling wise. Other then that I would carry anything on docs list if I had to.
