Thread: Handgun Front/Rear Sight Width Tradeoff

    Did a bunch of steel shooting this evening. I think my vertical alignment issues are more related to adapting to the fiber optic front sight. I really like the FO, but it can be bright and detracts a bit from locating the top of the front sight. I might try putting in a green fiber as many have found this to be less distracting. I think the .115" front/.135 rear widths are going to work fine. If a target is so small that the front sight covers same I'm in trouble anyway.

    I'm using .125/.125.

    Front is a Dawson fiber .285" tall, rear the Dawson adjustable. Never noticed a speed issue, but I'm not the fastest dude out there either.
