Could be. I don't know when it's not or when it is, and I'm just not comfortable with the ebola data the government is releasing. I'm especially troubled by the CDC Director's (recent) contradictory statements.

As was pointed out on NPR this morning, this particular strain of Ebola thus far has a 100% survival rate in the US.

(ETA: Of course, thus far it's been coming at us onesy-twoseys.)

    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

I'm more concerned with the soccer mom texting while driving.

This. I was visiting Presby Dallas on Wednesday, the hospital where the Dallas Ebola patient is being treated. Several people at work asked if I was scared about going there. I replied I was not, and really needed to go comfort a friend.

The only scary thing that happened was when someone driving a Tahoe tried to occupy the same coordinates in the space/time continuum on the way back to work. That was almost lethal, but typical for traffic in that area.

I'm more concerned with my parachute catching fire from being struck by lighting after bailing out of a plane that was hit by a meteor. Marginally.

What if it was a direct hit instead of a marginal one?

This is a thread where I built a boat I designed and which I very occasionally update with accounts of using it, which is really fun as long as I'm not driving over logs and blowing up the outboard.

Then you made the critical mistake of getting on a plane with LL's elbows...a classic blunder, only slightly less well known than getting involved in a land war in Asia.

I literally lack the ability to conceive that concept, but I can't think of a succinct way to express this inability.

    You dog, you.

Me? I'm going to play this up at home, see if the wife will authorize more camping gear - err, I mean, more pandemic survival preps.
