OK, short version: Docs detected cancer had spread to my skeletal system in April when I fractured a bone in my right arm. They replaced it with some wimpy piece of cement, gave it some radiation, and said never to use it while shooting again. July comes along, they discover radiation didn't work, cancer spread to more of my right arm bones and elbow joint. Whole thing gets replaced by titanium. Should be able to shoot again once it's all healed up (October).
No immediate plans to start teaching again because I never know more than a month or two out whether I'll be available or back in the hospital for whatever gets thrown at us next. Life is otherwise easy, disease seems under control for the time being, and I can type for a few minutes at a time before my right hand starts shaking like a leaf.
You may now commence with the adoration...
