I'd take whichever one I had at the time.
They're both good reliable pistols, and if I were aiming to E&E I wouldn't be looking to use it unless the need arised.
And I'd be working pretty hard on avoiding needing it.

kimbers have more issues than time magazine.
Of the two choices, probably the G17. I really like the Beretta but I've had more trigger time on the Glock. Now if I wasn't confined to those two options, I'd go with a CZ 75. More rounds through the 75 than Glocks and Berettas combined.
I don't care for either choice, but I have marginally more experience with the Beretta, so...

Beretta. I prefer a hammer fired metal frame gun these days. 18 rounds in the mag beats 15-17. And it'll probably fetch more money when I trade it off to some Kurd, so that I can buy a plane ticket of that shithole.

Glock 17 (or 19) would be my first preference; but I wouldn't feel too put out if I had to go with the Beretta, either.
