This was the chambered round (above and below) that locked up my action.

A chambered round in the AR platform leaves a dimpled primer from the floating fire pin.

This is the same round after removing the upper to "tap out" the bcg with a derlin punch and hammer.

Loaded another round, will not chamber even with forward assist.

Rudy and Hannah from Freedom responded to my email today in less then thirty minutes, working on a solution and as to how these were so out of spec.

No solution to the issue up to this point.

I've been nice, polite and courteous.

People make mistakes, I allow for time to correct them. I hope that they handle everyone with an issue, multiple complaints on the net with this batch of ammo.

Thanks for posting this thread. I've been looking at those exact rounds to test out a 300BLK I built as everything local I can find is reloaded and none has functioned correctly.
Looks like I'll be testing it out with Fiocchi.

Anthony from the Houston Tx retail location contacted me this morning. The issue is resolved pending refund and return label. The ammo goes back to the factory to pinpoint the QC breakdown and who/when it was produced was working the shift.

I appreciate the support and non standoffish/rude tone Of Anthony.

If anyone needs his contact info feel free to PM me.

Availability of components is still an issue. But, for the patient, and those with some forward thinking, and planning, .300 BLK is one type of ammo where not only can I reload it substantially cheaper than factory, but QA/QC is substantially improved. And, you don't need to harvest the kidney of your first born to fund a simple set up. I can also tweak as required to ensure reliability and accuracy in all of the rifles chambered for it.

The downside is the time. Normally my time is worth more than what I have to put into .300 BLK.........but since I travel so often, keep odd hours while I am gone, and don't care much for television.......it gives me something productive to do to help pass the time, while ensuring we have plenty of fodder to feed the machines.
