    Budget Shot Timer Suggestions?

    Hello,
I'm looking for a budget price shot timer. Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

You either buy a timer for $130 that works great, or you use the Surefire app that is spotty.

    Define "budget".
    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

Exactly. I think of a Pro Timer II as "budget", and also "disposable". They're what, $120?

If you want a Pocket Pro II, make sure you get it from Brownells. If it dies, which is likely if you drop or abuse them in any way, you will want to use their unconditional return policy.

Thanks everyone, that was very helpful. I'll check out the Pocket Pro II and make sure to get it from Brownells.

    Howdy,

I have a CE Pocket Pro II but lately I've been using a shot timer app on my iPhone.

I like how it works, has a random beep mode but the "beep" isn't very loud.

Im using the innovative applications shot timer. Pretty sure it's free.

Full disclosure, I only have access to a busy public range. I only use it for the buzzer, Which is pretty hearable considering use plugs and muffs, and somehow I always end up beside noobs shooting braked AR's at 15 yds. Can't speak to much else about other functions, but again, it was free

With the Innovative Applications shot timer, I consistently have issues with the timer not recording shots fired outdoors, even with the sensitivity up all the way. I basically only use it for dry-fire par times, and the random buzzer feature.

I am assuming you are using your smart phone. Have you tried using an external microphone?
