I remember this because it happened not far from where I live and it received a lot of local press coverage, including airing the video of the incident. I had heard that one of the officers was convicted. That was the last I had heard of it, so now I'm confused -- did some judge come along and throw out the conviction? If so, did this just happen, or did it happen at the officer's trial (which was about two years ago)? And doesn't a judge have to give some sort of reason to throwing out a verdict?
