    Kinda pricey.

I have one, though I admittedly didn't pay retail for it, got in on the pre-order. Had it at the last KSTG....

It's pricey partially because a LOT of thought went into how it's configured. Everything I carried in one of those 5.11 range bags, fits in the A-Range, but is WAY easier to carry because it doesn't sag under weight. I'm still futzing with a few things with Blue Force Gear Dapper accessories for the velcro portions, because the Tactigami attachments are only just trickling forward (even if I wanted any)....but it's been fantastic for the whopping 3weeks I've had it.

All zippers are TSA-lockable, there's plastic-coated steel cable that both supports the bottom half and provides for the entire bag to be cable-locked if you want.

It's not as easy to carry more than one spare handgun, unless you ditch carrying ammo in the trays in favor of some other way...but I also carry a lot of crap like medicine-cabinet/hygiene items, booboo kit, handgun spare parts, tools...the list goes on. I use it as a general "go-to-range" bag, the thing that ALWAYS goes the range with me, but is equipped to be complete toward supporting pistol use. Rifle-specific stuff is in it's own bag setup.

If you still want something like the 5.11 bag, just get the Midway version, save yourself the $$$. You'll get the same usage out of the Midway bags, and spend 50% of what you would for 5.11.

I would point out how astonishingly patronizing and sexist it is to tell someone like Tam that she needs a flowery purse-style range bag, but it would be a pointless exercise.

Therefore, I'll just say: Wow. Really? Amazing.

Geez can't anybody take a little teasing?

A PM would have been more appropriate if you wanted to provide such feedback.

And since when did it become politically incorrect to suggest a gender specific item to a person of that gender?

Does that mean that suggesting a black tactical masculine looking bag to a guy is sexist? Or should I be suggesting flowery bags for guys? I don't get it.

I think everybody needs to lighten up a little bit.

My apologies to Tamara if she was offended.

I bought one of these after a thread on PF:

(It was less than $100 when I got it)

This is a slightly different configuration, if it fits your needs better:

You'll need to get one used; they were driven out of business by price competition from Hanoi urchins. I believe I have literally the last new Waller ever shipped.
I did a quick Google on these. It appears that those that has them wants to keeps them. I couldn't find nary a one for sale.

I've been using the above bag for a couple years now and have been very pleased. There are lots of 'just rough' sized compartments and it's well made.

I will third the MidwayUSA bags. I have two, one of which I have been using for about 8 years. I has faded a bit from being in the sun, but other than that, it's not the least bit worse for wear. That said, it's never been on an airplane , just in the truck, to the range, and back again. I can't say how it would rate for airline travel. For normal use by a gun loving hillbilly like myself, it's been all I ever could have asked for.

I like mine a lot. I use it as a daily bag and swap out contents for range duty.

ISYN I wore out a Waller. I can't actually shoot my gear, but by god I can load up a bag and sling it around.

I like my Midway Competition bag (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/939...ProductFinding). I essentially use it as a trunk organizer, and the little pull-out bag that goes in the center of it is my ammo shuttle that goes down to the reloading hole and comes back up to the car. With the center bag out I have room for chrono, rest, tripod, chapman set, spotting scope, and a full rig if I like in the middle, with the outer pockets free for the actual every-time stuff.

It is not terrifically well made, but good enough for maybe a few years.

If I was like you and shot a lot of matches I"d probably look at the Maxpedition Compact. Their stuff is well built and you don't need to carry around all the stuff that fills a full size bag.
