I sort of get something about the dark molasses or tabaco notes that are characteristic of a dark rum, but it doesn’t have the sweetness of rum, it’s still very much a bourbon. I’ve tried a bunch of different re-cask stuff this year: Carribean Cask, Ocean Aged, Port Barrel, Sherry Barrel...everything has been pretty obvious until this one. It’s really unique.

I'm curious how this compares to the Angel's Envy Rye (also finished in Rum Casks). May need to pick up a bottle.

I'm a big fan of Tin Cup, made in Denver. Very reasonably priced.
Of course being the holiday we are about out.
