I started keeping a running word document on practice sessions and round count/maintenance like cleaning and spring changes years ago. There is a little effort involved, but my shooting sessions are often sporadic, so looking at past ones has helped me remember little things I've done or experimented with to improve. It also helped me track some malfunctions related to reloading and compare them to figure out some light strike problems, and to remember some sight height POA/POI between two M&Ps and help me fix it fast and cheap. Mine are broken by years for practice and each gun has a file. If I took more time just to review my practice notes I'd be a better shooter. Maybe I need to make a file for that..........

I use ColorNote on my android phone so it's always with me. Just type in the round for the day, added it up and put the total and date. I also note when parts are replaced. Handy and easy to use.
