I recently picked up a Glock 42 and wanted to put night sights on it. Ameriglo has two offerings, one with the front sight with a white outline and blacked out rear and the other was the traditional 3 dot with white front and two white dots on the rear sight. I ordered the first as its closest to my sights of choice (Ameriglo Spartan Tactical which has an orange front sight and blacked out rear sight). Upon receiving the sights I compared the 42 sights to a set that would go on a Glock 19. What I discovered is the rear sight is narrower for the 42 than the sight for the 19 but the notch is the same width. I then inspected the front sights and found them both to be the exact same size. So now my 42 wears an Ameriglo "Operator" rear sight designed for the 42 and the "Spartan Tactical" front sight for the 19.
