I was actually thinking about that as well; just to play devil's advocate here, could it be argued that because the son was on top, and stabbing the other kid to death, that he was no longer acting in self-defense, thus the first CCW guy (that shoots the son) is a good shoot, but the second guy (that shoots the other CCW guy) is then a bad shoot?

Theoretically, you have three independent justified uses of deadly force coming together in a single incident. As for the question you raise, that one could easily be argued either way and would depend in large part to the articulation factor.

I was thinking you tag your "kid" in the head with a sim round, claim you wanted it to happen "on your terms". Bonus points if you yell something during action about "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out of it!"

Alternatively you pop your "kid" in a supposedly non-vital area so he moves and the other shooter hesitates/misses. Make a "shoot the hostage" reference.
