Looks like new "Elite Performance" ammunition of cup and core design.

The mushroomed bullet on the box reminds me of the old Starfire bullet, but it's tough to tell from these pictures http://www.sigaddict.com/index.php/f...nd-impressions

The nickel case and bronze? primer resemble Winchester Ranger.

Unless the starfire bullet has changed a lot. It looks nothing like one. This ammo looks to expand reliably but lacks or just barely meets penetration requirements.

The price is high its 22 dollars for 20. Yesterday I was able to buy 9mm 147 hst for 28.75 per 50 from luckygunner. It would be nice to see it tested in true ballistic gel, the clear gel may be a tougher media which is preventing proper penetration.

When hst, ranger t, and gold dot being cheaper I dont see it becoming really popular unless proper testing shows better penetration.

There is more at the sig website.

They did some geltesting but I didn't see results listed. I would like to see the 9mm standard pressure 124 do well

also looks like the lead has skivs. looks to be a 1 of a kind design.
