    Private Ivan doesn't consider himself to be walking on foreign soil. The riots and other violence we witnessed all took place hundreds of kilometers (trying to be all UN here with my terms) from the Crimea. It looks as though the Russian seizure of the Crimea went down without a shot being fired.

    I can guarantee you if these two lads were out for a stroll through downtown Kiev - they would have mags in their guns.

    The pictures I saw of the "groups of armed men" that were allegedly in Kharkov sure had mags in their guns. (I don't have any proof it was actually Kharkov other than the word of the Twitter user, of course...)
    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

    I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

    Came across this BBC news story Ukraine Crisis in Maps which is kind of like an "Eastern Europe for Dummies."

    Someway, somehow, this ad has to be relevant to current events:

    Was that a DTM mounted on that tank? The barrel shroud/flash hider sure looked like classic Degtyarev.

    Tank?

    It's normal for a "papa bravo" to have a 14.5 mounted;
