    Week 90: When It Counts

    Week 90: When It Counts
    results may be posted until 11:59pm EST on Monday 3-March-2014.

    Range: 5, 15, 25
    Target: NRA B8 Replacement center (printable version here
    Start position: from concealment or a duty/retention holster
    Rounds fired: 15

    All shooting is from the holster and done freestyle.

    1. At 5 yards, 5 shots from the holster in 5 seconds.
    2. At 15 yards, 5 shots from the holster in 7.5 seconds.
    3. At 25 yards, 5 shots from the holster in 10 seconds.


    Shots fired over the indicated PAR are misses.

    If you cannot draw from a holster, remove one second from the PAR times and report your score from a ready position which has the muzzle off the target by at least three feet for the beginning of each string.

    Please report the following when you post your results in this thread:
    • pistol and holster used
    • points per distance including X's
    • total score for all three distances including X's

    Score per distance:

    5 yards: 49 4x
    15 yards: 48 4x
    25 yards: 42 1x

    Total - 128 7x

    I was 2.5s under par at 15 and 25 which lead to some sloppy hits.

    So much fun I ran it twice.

    S&W M&P9, Blade Tech IDPA holster, open front concealment.
    Run 1
    5 yard: 50-4x
    15 yard: 46-0x
    25 yard: 43-0x
    total: 139-4x

    Run 2
    5 yard: 49-3x
    15 yard: 45-0x
    25 yard: 45-1x
    total: 139-4x

    Consistency!

    50-3x + 46-1x + 19-1x = 115-5x
    50-2x + 46-0x + 26-0x = 122-2x

    Was about 4 seconds under par at 25 for both runs. Definitely some points left on the table there.
