sight options for an older sig 229

I just picked up an older Sig 229 made in 2007 and i am wondering what sight options do i have for this pistol. I currently run Trijicon HD's on my glock 19's and really like the sights. I noticed that the slide on my 229 is different from the most current version of the 229 that is posted on on Sig's website, will the Trijicon HD's that are on Trijicons site work on this pistol? Thanks for the help.

I had Heinie Slants on my 1994 P229 because they did not offer the Ledge. Excellent sights but I prefer a u-notch and a ledge for one handed manipulation. If the Trijicon HD's are available I'd select those and black out the rear vials with a sharpie. I don;t think the sights differ across years.

One thing to check first is the sight heights on the P229. Most 9mm guns use a #8 front and rear sight, while most .40s use a #6 front and a #8 rear. Sig factory sights usually have those tiny numbers on them.
