Swedish Carpenter's Axe? I like the handle length.

I don't recall ever seeing the picture but I do recognize that Blackhawk. I've been a fan since the first pic of it you posted.

    Yep,

It is the handiest size I have found. Works on decent size trees/deadfall, but small enough that I can lash it to my pack or even slide it in my pack, depending on what else I am carrying. Superb steel too. It sharpens up to the point that you can literally scrape the hair off your arms with it. I picked up a Husqvarna hatchet a while back but I have not had the opportunity to use it in the same manner as I have used the Carpenter's Axe.

I have the hatchet, but it's handle is too short for me to use comfortably.

Yep, I think it is purely going to be used for kindling, and backpacking type duties, as well as hikes where weight is a factor.

The Husqvarna axes and hatchets are absolutely in my eye, one of the best deals going. You get top notch quality and don't pay Gränsfors Bruk prices.

I have a Husky hatchet too and have found it a great value

I found this video, or rather it found me. I was searching for hatchets a couple of days ago and it showed up on YT for me. It must be magic!
