    Good looking pistol.
    Would make a great 9mm.

Is it just me, or is that area around the slide stop all swole out? I'm assuming to allow for a skinny frame and still use the current part no.?

The same slide stop is probably used in both and the G26 is .024 wider than the G42 so it would be necessary to expand that area slightly.

I'd like to see the "real world" measurements.
I'm betting the real numbers put this sucker very close to G26 dimensions.

Good eye, Tam. Probably spot on.

It better because it looks like a stupid .380

I expect to see a single stack 9mm the same size as the G42.

    Gen 4 G42.

    OAL 5.94"
    Height 4.13"
    Width .94"
    Barrel 3.10"
    Weight 13.40 oz.

    Gen 4 G26.

    OAL 6.41"
    Height 4.17"
    Width 1.18"
    Barrel 3.42"
    Weight 21.71 oz.

Looking at the size and locked-breech operation, I'm betting it's a barrel, RSA, and rollmark away from being a 9x19 Glock 43.

    Yes.

It's a sound strategy: Cash in on the small .380 demand, and use the Model 42 as a Beta test for the model 43.

    Question:

A few pages back, somebody mentioned a Glock .22 pistol. This is something we've all had whirly eyes over since I was a member of TFL in the late 90's. Is there information that it might be an Actual Thing Coming Soon, or is it just more pent up lust?

If Glock did come out with a .22 pistol, I would take notice, wait a couple years to see how they run, then casually look at gun stores for a used example. These days that counts as unbridled excitement from me.
