If the C takes off like I think, I bet there will be a number of comps.
I think it depends on how you define "failures." Stoeger was just an example of how his Staccato didn't run well until he lubed it heavier. Ed Cameron tells me he wants his 2011 and 1911 custom...
Not sure the specifics, but Dawson makes a comp for the Staccato.
The new C with the full grip and a short comp that brought the four inch slide to 4.5 inches would be very interesting.
The Sealander 63 GMT is something I have been looking at.
Another option is the Mido Ocean Star Titanium, which is $724 from Jomashop. VCDgrips put me onto this, and so far I have been thrilled....
Tucker's recent journalistic work seems a few clicks down from his dancing ability on Dances with Stars.

For years, I have been using oil on my pistols. However, Sig recommends grease, lubes their new striker and hammer pistols with grease, and has included some grease with new pistols. Bruce Gray...
You are like that guy on the insurance commercial, old before your age and acting like your parents! :)
So, who has a Casio Duro -- $49 on Amazon?
Things are much easier out west in Wyoming. There it would not be nefarious and likely have something to do with cattle, horses, elk, deer or maybe even sheep.
I was thinking automatic watches. Hand wound watches are interesting to me and I have a Hamilton that I dutifully wind each morning, even though I wear it infrequently.
I flew amphibs this...
Have bought numerous optics and Sig things from them for a number of years, and they are excellent to deal with.
I suspect automatic watches are like certain car brands -- people that have them mostly love them, and those that don't have them think they are not worth it.
Awesome post! It is fascinating how watches can become part of life and take on something beyond simply telling time.
My USPSA belt has two magnets on it, so I use a Marathon poly quartz when dry and live firing.
Between 9 PM and 5 AM this morning, my Zinn lost three seconds.
My Sinn is 30 days old, and I have never worn it shooting. I can't find an accuracy spec on their website. I will check it over a number of days to get a baseline.
I have started a test on my 105, but I think it is about 10 seconds a day off. Vaer, Bertucci, and Marathon quartz are spot on. My Hamilton manual wind gains time every day.
It is not just the skills, it is the courage. Textron has done much innovating with their single engine and light jet products lately.
My Sinn 105 is not particularly accurate, and every few days I adjust it. I asked YVK about his Sinn 856, and he wasn't sure about accuracy. I asked if he was wearing his, and as he was, what time it...
Seiko on this topic:

Is "anti magnetic" a thing for quartz watches too, or just automatic?
There is some segment of the population that views watches as jewelry. There are many others that view a watch as a tool. Pilots especially appreciate a second time zone feature and easy ability to...
I don't understand how over $1k with a Seiko gets you +25/-15 seconds a day accuracy. My reentry into watches was via a Timex titanium automatic that I bought as special run from Huckberry for $400....
My favorite M&P optic solution is a slide direct milled by Maple Leaf with a Glock rear sight dovetail cut in front of the optic. This gets the optic low and allows you to use shorter back up sights...
