Hard to find, but Speer .452", 250-grain Deep Curl expand readily in water jugs in .455 Webley at 650 fps.

At CCW ranges within 50 feet I have not found the difference important.
Actually Ioad the heavy bullet in .45 AR with 4.5 grains of Bullseye.
Neither suitable for barrels shorter than 3 inches. Poor ballistic uniformity.

Newer vehicles with lots of electronic gizmos are difficult to work.on yourself and expensive to maintain at the dealer. Their initial cost is high and rate of depreciation rapid.

Poor durability of K-frame .357s in police service is very well documented. J-frames even with .38 Special +P do not stand up to the duty cycle normally expected of cop guns in the 1980s. J-frame...
The Colt New Service remained in service with the RCMP into the 1950s. Beautiful gun with great history.

When you spend twice the cost of the donor gun on gunsmithing you must have a clear understanding of the work required and what professional quality work really costs.
Sandy and I had this...
Flatnosed FMJ is not as easily deflected in oblique impacts against hard surfaces such as bones, auto bodies or laminated safety glass.
Better barrier penetration. Better soft target crush than...

Update. I posted this previously in another thread, but for anyone following here who missed it, Sandy. Garrett of NoVA Gun Works completed the rebuild of my .455 pocket blaster. When the original...
With iron sighted hunting rifles and 250-yard zero with 180 grain softpoint the small game loads are CLOSE at 50 feet to 25 yards. Scoped rifles I don't know.
Have a 22kw Generac Guardian and 1000 gallon propane tank. In ten years has logged 350 hours. I have a service contract and unit has been reliable.
I expect 1 inch per 25 yards. Fast-burning pistol or shotgun powders only.
NO FILLERS !!!!
I don't use powder coated. Only tumble lubed with Lee Liquid Alox in subsonic loads. Typically 4...

I went differently. 1915 Colt New Service. Custom fitted 3-1/2" Douglas barrel. Maintained the .455 chambering. Weighs 36 ozs. Same as 4-inch S&W K-frame .38 Special. Gives 724 fps with CIL-Dominion...
In .32 ACP and .380 I prefer FMJ because JHP bullets which are fragile enough to expand from barrels shorter than 3 inches fail to provide adequate penetration . Many of the common JHP loads do not...
Winchester is my carry load.. Bullet shape is more important than the velocity.
In .32 ACP the FNB 74- grain Euro load
Rimlock in .32 ACP is an issue in short rounds less than 0.95" which permit rounds to shuffle in the stack.
If cartridge OAL exceeds 0.95" there is no issue.
They feed JHP if ctg. OAL exceeds 0.95".
Prefer flat nosed FMJ to ensure adequate penetration over 14" in calibrated gel.
The best.32s are the double stack Berettas and the SIG P230 fed Euro Heavy (77-grain) ball. If OK with handoads assemble 93-grain FMJ .30 Luger, 7.62x25 Combloc steel core pulls or .309" diameter...
